Fees

Generally, no fee is charged for financial advice where a loan settles and lender commission is received.

A one-off fee may apply where no lender commission is payable, or where commission must be repaid to a lender within 28 months of drawdown due to repayment or material changes to the loan. Any such fee would be agreed in advance. Where commission clawback applies, the fee will be no more than $2,500 plus GST, calculated at $250 plus GST per hour, and will not exceed the amount of commission required to be repaid.

Commissions and Incentives

On settlement, Fei usually receives an upfront commission and may also receive an ongoing trail commission. In some cases, a fixed rate roll-over fee may also be paid where assistance is provided with refixing. Referral fees or commissions may also be received from referral partners where applicable.

Conflicts are managed by following a client-first advice process, ensuring loan amounts are suitable, disclosing commission structures, and undertaking regular conflict management training.
