Please consult an investment adviser for advice on retirement savings.
Fees
Generally no fee is charged for the financial advice provided. This is possible because, on settlement of a loan, commission is usually received from the lender.
A one-off fee may apply where no lender commission is received. Any such fee would be agreed and authorised in writing before services are completed, and based on an estimate of time spent providing the advice.
A one-off fee may also apply if a lender requires commission repayment within 28 months of settlement. Any such fee would be no more than $2,500 plus GST, based on $250 plus GST per hour, and will not exceed the amount of commission repaid.
You will be invoiced for any one-off fee and given 30 days to make payment.
Commissions & Incentives
On settlement of a mortgage, Wei usually receives commission from the applicable product provider. The commission is generally upfront but may also include a trail commission. A fixed rate roll-over fee may also be received where assistance is provided with refixing your loan.
Conflicts of interest are managed by recommending the best product for your purpose regardless of commission, ensuring the amount of any loan aligns with your identified needs, providing lender commission tables as part of the advice process, and undertaking regular training on conflict management.
As soon as the loan type and amount are confirmed and accepted by the lender, the amount and frequency of commission received will be disclosed. Referral fees or commission may also be received if you are referred to any referral partners.
Complaints
If you have a complaint about Wei’s financial advice or service, please contact Wei directly by phone or email using the heading Complaint - Your Name. Please set out the nature of your complaint and the resolution you are seeking.
Receipt of the complaint will be acknowledged within 24 hours. The complaint will then be recorded in the Complaints Register and worked through with you. An answer will be provided within 7 working days of receiving your complaint. If a resolution cannot be agreed, the complaint may be referred to the external dispute resolution service below.
